We brought the royal family back after Cromwell Swiss cos the puritans were such a miserable murderous bunch of religious zealots.. The king was much more fun.

I think the Queen has done her job very well.
I just think there will be resistance by many to Queen Camilla.
Will she even be given that title? Perhaps Royal experts can enlighten us.

I just know there are an awful lot of Diana nutters about who resent Mrs Prince Charles. Personally I think she seems a fun sort who is much more suitable for him.
I went with some friends to watch that Royal boat parade they did a few years ago which almost killed Phil and can recall when they showed in the big screen next to the Houses of Parliament the royals getting on the boat upriver that Queeny, William & Kate etc were cheered loudly. Charles and his bird were booed. And this by a ‘royal’ crowd

I think the fact that many scuttle out of Bangkok after a couple of days, yet their counterparts in the UK's capital can't see half of London's landmarks/history in two weeks says much more.

I spent over 20 years working in and around Holborn/St Pauls, and managed to find something new and interesting - within lunchtime walking distance - in the city most days.

No doubt London has a draw - it also has a greater propotion of cunts and low-life too, though.

People WON'T stop coming, however, it the UK sheds the monarchy - the buildings and the history will still be there.

Forget that she is the queen, anyone who can stay married for 70 years and still be in love and enthused by their husband deserves to be congratulated , what is wrong about this why are some getting so miffed ?, I do not get it.

For a little island, I suppose having the 2nd most visited city in the world is a decent achievement and it probably wouldn't make the top 10 without the pull of the royals.

Does make me laugh that Bangkok is no.1 you filthy Bastards!! :o)

To be honest I've got nothing for or against them.

Bit of a disfunctional lot really aren't they.

The tourists all come over here to Paris to Versailles etc even though they got wise in 1789.

Same with the Winter palace in St Petersburg etc

We had our chance under Cromwell but bottled it.

I don't know what minuscule % of government expenditure, is paid out for the royals, but it's worth every penny, for the way it pisses of all the lefty republicans.

I wonder if any lefties will ever have the balls, to add "abolish the monarchy" to their manifestos, then see how many MP's they return.

One of the only royal families (if not the only one) who are self sufficient due to the tourism they bring into the country.

There surely must be some one who could represent their country for 8 years who has experience in business, law or the sex industries who could do it for less?

How much would an elected Head of State and all their security, transport needs and residences cost Branded? And how much additional tourist revenue would this President bring in.
